DESCRIPTION:Four Seasons to Flourish: A Year-Long Wellness Journey\nBlossom IDD\, Blue Lotus Center\, Happy Place\, & Special Olympics Collaboration \nEmbark on an enriching journey through the seasons with Four Seasons to Flourish\, a holistic wellness program designed to nurture community\, promote health\, and create meaningful connections. This quarterly retreat series invites participants and their families to explore the beauty of each season through engaging activities\, hands-on learning\, and supportive environments. \nThis opportunity is open to 15 participants per session and one parent/caregiver to join (a total of 30 people)! In the event that a parent/caregiver is unable to join please reach out as we would still love to have you included! \nProgram Highlights: \n\nCooking and Nutrition: Seasonal cooking classes where participants prepare meals and snacks\, fostering independence and healthy eating habits.\nFitness and Recreation: Activities like snowshoeing\, nature hikes\, and water-based fun tailored to the season.\nWellness and Reflection: Yoga\, art\, meditative\, and other practices that encourage mental self-care and mindfulness.\nCommunity and Connection: Social opportunities and parent/caregiver support sessions to strengthen relationships and provide valuable resources.\n\nWith the collaboration of trusted partners\, this program is perfect for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers. Each retreat is held at the serene Blue Lotus Center and includes a delicious community lunch prepared by participants. \nJoin us to flourish through all four seasons! \nUpcoming Dates for 2025: \n\nWinter: February 2nd|10:00AM-2:00PM\nSpring: May 4th|10:00AM-2:00PM\nSummer: August 3rd|10:00AM-2:00PM\nFall: October 5th|10:00AM-2:00PM\n\nProgram fee: $5 per participant\, collected by Blossom IDD\, will hold your spot for this otherwise free experience. Payment and RSVP 2 weeks in advanced required. \nParticipant process: upon completion of the sign up and the $5 deposit is collected\, a Google Form will be collected for participant registration and waiver purposes.
