Volunteers

GET INVOLVED

Support. Volunteer. Compete.

Special Olympics, in general, needs individuals to volunteer
at our sporting practices and events as well as social engagements.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.

Volunteering may involve assisting at local and/or state competitions providing support services such as being a referee, umpire or other official, and hosting social events like the annual Halloween Dance or Sports Banquet.

There is always a need to assist athletes outside of the sporting event. Transportation, providing food, assisting with housing and sometimes, just someone to talk with, are all important things volunteers do.

Becoming a Volunteer

Those individuals interested in volunteering may contact Special Olympics Wisconsin
or any local Special Olympics organization to receive an application.
All volunteers must have a background check completed before they can participate in any Special Olympics event.
